What is New Tree Installation?
As the temperatures begin to drop and the leaves start to fall, now is the perfect time to think about installing a new tree in your yard. Not only do trees provide much-needed shade during the hot summer months, but they also help to improve air quality, provide habitat for wildlife, and add to the overall beauty of your landscape.
Before you start digging, there are a few things you should consider when it comes to choosing and planting a new tree. First, think about the size of the tree and how it will fit in your yard. A tree that is too large can cause problems with overhead power lines, driveways, and sidewalks, so be sure to choose a tree that will mature at a size that is appropriate for your space.
Next, consider the type of tree you want to plant. Deciduous trees, which lose their leaves in the fall, are a great choice for providing shade in the summer and letting in sunlight in the winter. Evergreen trees, on the other hand, stay green all year round and are a great choice for providing privacy and wind protection.
Once you have chosen the right tree for your space, it’s time to start digging. Before you begin, make sure to call 811 to have your utility lines marked. This will help to avoid any accidents or damage to underground pipes and cables. When digging the hole for your new tree, be sure to make it wide enough to accommodate the tree’s root ball, but not so deep that the tree will be planted too low in the ground. The top of the root ball should be level with the ground.
After you have planted your tree, be sure to water it well and add a layer of mulch around the base to help retain moisture and prevent weeds. As the tree grows, be sure to prune it regularly to maintain its shape and remove any dead or damaged branches.
With proper care, your new tree will thrive and become a valuable addition to your landscape. So why not take the plunge and add some new greenery to your yard this fall? You’ll be glad you did.
